Made Tech appointed as Met Office's digital services partner
Public services data and technology services provider Made Tech has been appointed as the Met Office's digital services partner, under a contract worth roughly £7.0m over the next 24 months.
Made Tech said on Friday that under the new contract, which expands its presence in the South West of the UK, it will support the Met Office to deliver problem-solving digital, data, and technology solutions, which enhance and expand the organisation's consumer-facing digital services offering.
Made Tech's Tom Taylor said: "The Met Office is a leader in digital delivery in the public sector, and has a storied history of using technology to improve society - not least by providing the nation's most trusted weather forecasts.
"It's an honour to be working with the Met Office, supporting them in meeting their ambitious digital goals and delivering on their mission to help people everywhere stay safe and thrive."
As of 0920 BST, Made Tech shares were up 4.05% at 38.50p.
