Learning and skills specialist Malvern International announced the appointment of Stephen Harvey as its chief development officer on Wednesday.

The AIM-traded firm said that in the role, Harvey would be responsible for expanding its global network of university and higher education partnerships.
It said that Harvey, with 40 years of experience in the global education sector, would bring a wealth of expertise to his new position.
His career had encompassed various senior roles, including non-executive director at Sannam S4, founder and global managing director of Cambridge Education Group’s ‘Oncampus’ higher education pathways division, head of higher education advisory services at KPMG UK, and project manager at the UK Department for Education’s strategy and innovation unit.
Harvey had also served as the UK managing director of Study Group and currently held the trustee position at Cumberland Lodge.
Furthermore, Stephen Harvey held leadership positions at multiple UK universities, including director of a university business school, principal lecturer, head of department in accounting and finance, and director of the international office.

“As a leading authority in our industry, Steve’s extensive experience and network will be invaluable to the next stage of Malvern’s development as we look to expand our university partnerships.”
At 1347 GMT, shares in Malvern International were up 8.09% at 25.4p.
