The AIM-traded provider of performance, knowledge and learning management systems said MUSC needed a more robust learning management system, with the previous system having significant limitations for reporting and managing user groups.
It added that accessibility was also limited to certain internet browsers and devices.
NetDimensions said it was approached by MUSC after its team gathered requirements from LMS stakeholders across the organisation, and conducted an extensive review of LMS vendors.
"We have extensive reporting needs that NetDimensions Learning was able to meet. With the new LMS, we now offer a variety of training catalogues, based on areas of interest,” said MUSC’s learning technologies manager Albany Cromer.
“We also added social learning with access to resources found on the Internet. And MUSC can now offer learning and education to the community thanks to our new platform - something we were not previously able to do,” Cromer added.
The company’s board confirmed that MUSC also engaged NetDimensions Interactive to bring consistent style and branding to their learning development efforts across the organisation.
Content experts at NetDimensions built a set of starter PowerPoint and Adobe Captivate templates, allowing MUSC to build new courses in an ‘enhanced design’.
"The healthcare sector continues to see significant growth. We are proud to partner with forward-thinking organisations like MUSC and help them deliver the critical training their learners need,” commented NetDimensions Healthcare president Ken Wright.
The value of the deal was not made available at the time of the announcement.
