BigDish will formally launch in Hong Kong in February 2017, representing its first expansion from the Philippines. The operation in the Chinese city will be led by Frederic Honore-Spinler, who previously worked for Chope, Asia’s largest restaurant reservation platform and Rocket Internet/Foodpanda, the world’s largest food delivery business.
Chief executive of BigDish Joost Boer said: “BigDish is delighted to be able to expand into Hong Kong which has a thriving food scene. The Hong Kong launch also coincides with the rollout of a multi-language capability for the BigDish platform, which will assist in the growth of the business in Asia.”
