This was thanks to Eckoh securing its largest ever secure payments contract win, a two-year contract worth $7.4m to provide secure payment solutions to what is one of the largest corporations in the USA.
Predicting the precise timing of the signing of such large enterprise contracts remains challenging, the company said, but the board is pleased with the level of total contract value achieved in the first half.
Eckoh’s UK business has also seen the TCV of new contracts across the six months to 30 September exceed the total won in the prior year after “renewed momentum” was achieved through a restructured UK sales function.
Highlights in the UK included a contract with Capita, Eckoh's fifth significant contract won through the channel since the partnership was created in 2013, worth a minimum of £1.4m over a three-and-a-half-year period.
The AIM traded company had net cash of £3.4m at 30 September, up from £1.7m at the same point last year.
Eckoh’s shares were down 0.82% at 38.68p at 0926 BST.
