Plus500 extends Aussie rugby sponsorship deal for three years

Online contracts-for-difference trading service provider Plus500 announced on Wednesday that it has extended its sponsorship agreement with the Brumbies to be its official sponsor for the next three years.

Based in Canberra, the Brumbies are the Australian Capital Territory representative team in the Super Rugby competition, which features local teams from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Argentina and Japan.
The AIM-traded firm first became a sponsor of the Brumbies in December 2016, and the collaboration to date was described by the company’s board as being “very successful” for both parties.
As part of the agreement, the Plus500 logo will continue to feature on the front of the home and away Brumbies jerseys for both national and overseas matches.
Plus500 would continue to enjoy a range of branding rights as the team will continue to be referred to as the 'Plus500 Brumbies' at their home GIO Stadium and beyond, among other benefits.
“We are thrilled that this partnership with the Brumbies is continuing as we both strive for success in our respective industries,” said Plus500 CEO Asaf Elimelech.
“Australia remains a key market for Plus500 and we are delighted to be aligned with such a well-known team.”
Simon Chester, general commercial manager of the Brumbies, added that the club’s partnership with Plus500 had been a “great success” to date.
“The sponsorship supports the growth and development of the Brumbies and enables us to maintain our position as a world leading brand,” Chester explained.
