A bankable feasibility study is being undertaken by strategic partner China Coal on the Polish mine. Due for completion in September, the study was set to refute claims made by the chief national geologist in regards to the development progress at Jan Karski.
A spokesman for the Polish government stated that the comments made were "neither the position of the Government, nor of the Prime Minister," and Prairie added that those statements contained "errors of fact and omission."
Prairie focused on the claim that it was obligated to drill 23 boreholes over the concessions, by noting that it is required to complete only seven boreholes, which it has done so, and has the option of drilling additional boreholes if desired.
Despite this, Prairie said its submission for a mining concession remains on track.
As of 1430 BST, shares in Prairie Mining were up 3.88% to 26.75p.
