The AIM-traded firm said the order marked a continuation of its collaboration, following two years of testing and validation of the initial system.
H2tec, serving the Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO), which manages 300 road tunnels in Switzerland, initially ordered a system from Proton Motor in November 2020.
After successful implementation and operation beginning in December 2022, H2tec had now placed an order for an indoor plug-and-play HyCabinet S16 fuel cell system.
The HyCabinet S16 includes an integrated master control unit and voltage distribution cabinet.
Initially, it would feature one ‘HyModule S8’ for an 8 kW nominal power output, with the option to upgrade to a second HyModule S8, providing a fully redundant 16 kW output.
Delivery of the new system was expected by the first quarter of 2025.
“This follow-up order from H2tec is further evidence, on behalf of FEDRO, of the trust of our customers in the reliability of Proton Motor's proprietary hydrogen fuel cell technology and our support and service,” said chief executive officer Dr Faiz Nahab.
“We look forward to continuing to work further with H2tec AG to provide them with zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell power generator solutions.”
