The AIM-traded firm said the nomination would see it provide glazing connectors to several global automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), such as Mercedes, Volkswagen, Toyota and Skoda, across various battery and combustion engine-based vehicle programs.
It said the supply of glazing connectors was scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2024, with a duration ranging from two to five years, depending on the concluding production dates of the specific vehicle programmes.
Strip Tinning said the overall sales value of the nomination was projected to reach about €3m.
Furthermore, an estimated €0.53m of the sales value was expected to be recognised within the 2024 financial year.
“We are delighted to receive this nomination from one of our core glazing customers, reinforcing Strip Tinning’s position as a leading supplier of specialist glazing connectors to all classes of automotive vehicles,” said executive chair Adam Robson.
“Our expertise and consistent delivery of high-quality products leaves us well-placed to convert the growing new nominations pipeline across our glazing and EV divisions.”
