Telit Communications appoints Italian telecommunications expert as chairman
Telit Communications on Tuesday made several board alterations after appointing Paolo Dal Pino as independent non-executive chairman, with effect from 1 September.

Simon Duffy, who was appointed interim chairman on 25 June, will revert to his position as the senior independent non-executive director, while Miriam Greenwood, who was reappointed to the board on an interim basis on 25 June, will step down from Telit’s board on 1 September - as originally intended.
Telit is a global provider of wireless machine to machine technology and value-added services including connectivity cloud and platform as a service application enablement services.
"We have taken aboard the views of our shareholders following our AGM and regarding the appointment of a permanent chairman. We are delighted to announce that, at the conclusion of that process, Paolo will be joining as chairman. He has considerable expertise gained in a number of leading multinational corporations," said Duffy.
Dal Pino will join the AIM traded firm following a 25-year career in the technology, media, and telecoms industry, having served in roles including chief executive of Italian mobile and broadband operator Wind, president of Latin American operations for Telecom Italia Group and chief executive of the Seat Group.
Most recently, he was chief executive of Prometeon Tyre Group, the industrial tyre business divested from the Pirelli Group.
"I am delighted to be joining the board at this important juncture in Telit's development and I look forward to working with the management and board on the next stage of Telit's journey," said Dal Pino.
Telit’s shares were down 1.70% at 162.20p at 1220 BST.
