A statement from the company said the board intends to use Bellamy’s experience working in multi-site and growth businesses to continue its strategy of organic growth and the selective acquisitions of underinvested sites.
Bellamy still serves as a non-executive director at PureGym after ending a six-year stint as chief finance officer earlier this year after the company grew from a 30-site operation to become the UK's largest low-cost gym operator with 220 sites under his tenure.
A qualified chartered accountant, Bellamy has finance director experience at Atmosphere Bars and Clubs and Conran Restaurants/D&D London after having started his career at House of Fraser, Granada Group and Whitbread.
Nick Basing, chairman of TEG, said: "Adam is a great asset to our non-executive independent board of directors. He has a very strong pedigree of working at the highest level as CFO and working at growing companies in the UK leisure sector. The board looks forward to working with Adam."
TEG’s shares were up 0.71% at 228.62p at 1307 BST.
