Wandisco said on Tuesday that its mystery customer would have access to its full suite of solutions and use these to build its own data migration practice for moving data at scale into the public cloud.
The AIM-listed group added that the agreement was "significant" for the company and said a pipeline of opportunities was "immediately being explored" following successful deployment in a large-scale customer environment.
Wandisco also pointed to material upside once its client's data migration practice can be completed.
Chief executive David Richards said: "Today's announcement marks the company's first agreement with a global systems integrator and our business momentum continues to be encouraging as we see additional growth opportunities working with them in the near-term.
"There is a growing need for data consistency and data availability across the business world, and Wandisco's ability to facilitate petabyte-scale cloud migration without business interruption is becoming a key factor for large organisations and their systems integrator partners as they accelerate their journey to the cloud."
As of 0910 BST, Wandisco shares had surged 15.85% to 799.39p.
