WPP acquires Brazilian software company DTI Digital
WPP has acquired Brazil-based software engineering company DTI Digital, it announced on Wednesday, for an undisclosed sum.

The FTSE 100 advertising giant said DTA develops back-office support systems including supply automation and data collection software, and consumer-facing applications and platforms including e-commerce marketplaces and customer service interfaces.
It explained that its proprietary approach allowed it to “quickly and effectively” scale-up its expert development teams, comprising more than 600 software engineers, in response to client needs.
The acquisition was in line with WPP's objectives outlined in December to expand its presence in the fast-growing areas of experience, commerce and technology.
In particular, it would strengthen its capabilities in supporting the end-to-end digital transformation objectives of clients in Brazil and beyond, by complementing and expanding its existing advertising technology and systems integrations capabilities.
DTI would benefit from WPP's global network and relationships with its partners and clients, including the world's largest technology companies, the board said.

At 0835 GMT, shares in WPP were down 0.12% at 817p.
