Hatch will take over from Shakespeare on 1 August, while Shakespeare will take over as the group's non-executive chairman from the outgoing Roger Parry.
Yougov highlighted that Hatch, who became US technology behemoth Meta's vice president for Northern Europe back in 2016, will be stepping down from his role as non-executive director at Reach before he joins the firm.
Shakespeare said: "I am confident that I will be handing over the reins with YouGov in its strongest ever position and with a clear strategy to realising our vision of building the world's leading marketing data and research platform.
"It will be an honour to step into the role of non-executive chair in August and continue my journey with the company. I am hugely excited for what the future holds for YouGov."
As of 0815 BST, Yougov shares were up 1.63% at 874.0p.
