Fire safety and heat management technology specialist Zenova Group has been specified by BDP Architects - one of the UK’s largest architecture firms - and construction giant Laing O'Rourke to supply ‘Zenova FP’ paint within the main entrance facade as part of the redevelopment of the NHS Royal Sussex County site in Brighton.

The AIM-traded firm’s directors described it as a “significant vote of confidence” in the quality, reliability, durability and sustainability of Zenova's technology solutions by two of the largest firms in the UK’s construction sector.
It said there were “encouraging signs” for further NHS projects, adding that it had recently completed the first phase of a pilot project for the NHS Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals Trust.
The pilot project had ascertained the benefits of using both Zenova IP and IR to improve insulation - not only on the building fabric, but mechanical pipes, storage tanks and ducts.
A better-than-30% improvement in the insulation of hot water pipes, thus conserving energy, was achieved, and as a result further trials were being requested in the use of Zenova's IP and IR on other surfaces to ascertain the levels of likely energy saving and cost reduction.
“Being specified by BDP Architects and Laing O'Rourke, to supply Zenova FP Paint to the NHS's 3Ts redevelopment project at the Royal Sussex County site in Brighton, is further evidence of the quality and growing reputation of Zenova's solutions for significant customers, and I look forward to seeing our solutions continuing to benefit these and other organisations,” said chief executive officer Tony Crawley.
“The largest of these is the NHS, which, as we are all aware of, needs reform and positive change.”
Crawley said part of that was the need to reduce operating costs without compromising service or safety.
“I believe that Zenova is well positioned to assist this national institution in its efforts to reduce significant energy costs, and we are very proud to be able to offer technology that will make a difference without compromising on safety.”
At 1241 GMT, shares in Zenova Group were up 3% at 15.45p.
