Gross invested over $700m of his own money into Janus Capital Group
Bill Gross has invested “more than $700m” of his own money into Janus Capital Group, the fund confirmed on Thursday.
Earlier in January, the Wall Street Journal reported that most of the funds invested into Janus Global Unconstrained Bond Fund since Gross’ arrival in September had come from Gross’s financial adviser in California.
“He believes in eating his own cooking,” Dick Weil, Janus’ chief executive, was quoted as saying by the Wall Street Journal.
“Bill’s proud in investing in what we do for a living.”
However, according to the report, Weil was unaware of the details of Gross’s investment.
