Five-year-old boy tested for Ebola symptoms in New York
A five-year-old boy is being tested for possible Ebola symptoms in New York after returning from a family trip to West Africa.
The child was reportedly vomiting and had a 103-degree temperature before he was taken to New York’s Bellevue Hospital.
Workers wearing protective hazmat suits carried him from his Bronx home on Sunday, a day after coming back from a trip to Guinea.
Five members of his family are being kept in quarantine inside their apartment.
Guinea is one of the most affected areas in West Africa.The first cases were reported in the south east Gueckedou region in March.
