Friday preview: UK GDP, US producer prices in focus

At 0700 BST, the Office for National Statistics is expected to report that GDP expanded at a month-on-month pace of 0.7% in July, down from 1.0% in June.

Detailed industrial production, construction and foreign trade numbers for that same month will be released alongside.

Stateside meanwhile, the market spotlight will be on producer price data covering the month of August at 1330 BST.

Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland boss, Loretta Mester, is also due to make a pubic appearance at 1400 BST.

Across the Channel, from 0700 BST investors will be digesting a final reading on German consumer prices in August, followed by industrial production figures from France, Spain and Italy all before the opening bell.
