Friday preview: US durable goods orders, euro area money supply in focus
Financial markets' focus at the end of the week and heading into the end of the month will be on the latest durable goods orders data covering the month of August.
Economists' median forecast is for a slowdown in the month-on-month rate of growth in such outlays from 11.4% for July to only 1.0%, but Barclays Research is anticipating a drop of 5.5%, led by a slump in the transportation sector.
Excluding transportation however both Barclays and the consensus are anticipating moderate growth.
Across the Channel meanwhile, the year-on-year rate of growth in M3 money supply in the Eurozone is seen dipping from 10.2% to 10.1%.
No major economic releases are scheduled in the UK nor in the world's other main economies.
