Tuesday preview: US durable goods orders, ECB's Lagarde in focus
The market spotlight on Tuesday would be on the US.
At 1330 BST, the Department of Commerce was to release durable goods orders figures for the month of May.
They would be followed at 1400 BST by data for home prices in April and at 1500 BST by a reading for new home sales covering that same month.
The Conference Board's gauge of consumer confidence was also scheduled for release at 1500 BST.
European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde was due to speak at 0900 at the monetary authority's central banking forum in Sintra.
The heads of the Canadian and Norwegian central banks would take to the podium shortfly after, at 1030 BST and 1200 BST.
The Bank of England's Silvya Tenreyro would also participate at 0930 BST.
