The key release would be a report on German factory orders for April, at 0700 BST.
It would be followed by figures on euro area retail sales in April at 1000 BST.
On home shores, at 0930 BST S&P Global would release its UK construction Purchasing Managers' Index for May.
And overnight, the Reserve Bank of Australia would announce its latest interest rate decision.
Consensus was that policymakers at the RBA would keep the Cash Rate target at 3.85%.
In the corporate arena meanwhile, the market spotlight would be on British American Tobacco as it delivered a pre-close trading update for its second quarter.
The share price had continued drifting lower since its first quarter results were published.
That was despite management's confidence in their goals for the company's Next Generation Products and revenue growth targets.
Nonetheless, according to Michael Hewson, chief market analyst at CMC Markets UK: "The lack of a commitment to further buybacks may also be weighing on recent share price performance."
