Tuesday preview: Reserve Bank of Australia, German foreign trade in focus
Tuesday's main risk event was to take place overnight Down Under.
Overnight, the Reserve Bank of Australia was expected to announce a further 25 basis point interest rate hike to 4.35%.
Across the Channel meanwhile, German foreign trade figures for May were due out at 0600 BST.
Spanish unemployment data for June was set for release one hour later at 0700 BST.
No major economic releases were scheduled in the UK.
Wall Street would remain closed in observance of the 4 July holiday.
