Tuesday preview: Ted Baker to report healthy first half results, analysts expect
Fashion retailer Ted Baker is expected to report robust first half earnings on Tuesday, as demand for the luxury brand grew.
Jefferies expects a 24% increase in pre-tax profit to £17.8m, as revenues are forecast to jump 23%.
In the first quarter, Ted Baker posted a 24.2% increase in revenue, as the company opened new stores globally and raised brand awareness in new markets. The group saw growth across its stores, e-commerce business and wholesale sales.
"The Ted Baker brand continues to perform very well and we have delivered further progress across our global markets and distribution channels,” said Ray Kelvin, founder and chief executive.
Jefferies said the recent launch of women’s active wear will also extend the firm’s reach while the classic range is continuing to attract loyal UK consumers.
