For InterContinental Hotels Group's first half, UBS analyst Bilal Aziz has penciled-in a 43% year-on-year decline in revenues per available room, on the back of a 36% drop in the second quarter.

Earnings before interest, taxes and amortisation meanwhile were expected to print at approximately $160.0m.

"Given the strong market data in the US and China we expect IHG to suggest a strong exit rate from July which could see some upside risks to consensus for the full year," Aziz added.
