Week ahead: US jobs data, global PMIs in the spotlight

On Friday, the Department of Labor was expected to announce that non-farm payrolls grew by 240,000 in March, versus the 311,000 gain see during the previous month.

Ahead of that, on Tuesday, Labor would release its JOLTS labour market survey with the data for job openings and quits often significant moves in asset prices.

Also due out over the week were closely followed surveys for factory sector activity in the UK, euro area and US, on Monday.

Come Wednesday, they would be followed by S&P Global's services sector Purchasing Managers' Index for the UK and euro area in March.

Later that same day, the Institute for Supply Management was scheduled to publish its own services PMI for the US.

In Asia, rate-setters in Australia and New Zealand would announce their latest monetary policy decisions on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
