Doctor diagnosed with Ebola in New York - UPDATE
Craig Spencer, a New York-based doctor who has recently been working in Guinea, has become the fourth person in the US to have been diagnosed with the deadly virus.
Spencer reportedly came down with a fever on Thursday and has now been transferred to a hospital in Manhattan.
He returned from Guinea on 17 October after having worked for the charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) treating Ebola patients.
Officials in New York say that the doctor had travelled on the subway and been out for a jog before starting to feel unwell.
"There is no reason for New Yorkers to be alarmed," said mayor Bill de Blasio.
"Ebola is an extremely hard disease to contract. New Yorkers who have not been exposed to an infected person's bodily fluids are not at risk."
