Deutsche Boerse said on Thursday that it has offered to buy Danish software maker SimCorp for DKK29bn (€3.9bn).

Under the terms of the deal, Deutsche Boerse will pay DKK735 per share in cash. This represents a premium of around 45% to the closing share price of SimCorp on Wednesday.
SimCorp’s board of directors has unanimously resolved to recommend that shareholders accept the offer, when made.
Shares in SimCorp surged and by 0830 BST, were trading up 39% at DKK734.00.
