Samsung set to debut new Galaxy smartphone in three weeks
Invites have been sent to Samsung’s latest ‘Unpacked’ event on February 21, where it’s expected a new Galaxy smartphone will be released.
Samsung posted a teaser video on Monday for the event to unveiled its new flagship phones in Barcelona ahead of the Mobile World Congress beginning the next day.
It would follow suit with the launches of the Galaxy S5 and S6 ranges over the last two years, which were unveiled near the start of the conference.
Rumours are rife ahead of the launch, including a suggestion the South Korean tech giant could release two models of what is believed to be called the Galaxy S7, according to AnTuTu.
It’s also believed it will only have a 12MP camera, smaller than the Galaxy S6’s 16MP camera, but with larger pixels in the image sensor.
The ‘Unpacked’ event begins at 1800 GMT.
