Barcelona attack suspects appear at Madrid high court
Four men suspected of having a major involvement in terror attacks in Barcelona and surrounding areas last week are appearing in front a high court judge in Madrid on Tuesday.
Another member of the terror cell was shot dead in the nearby town of Subirats on Monday. Younes Abouyaaqoub is believed to have been the driver of the vehicle which ploughed through the tourist area of Las Ramblas last Thursday, killing 13 and injuring hundreds more.
Now Driss Oukabir, Sahal el Karib, Mohammed Aalla and Mohamed Houli Chemlal will appear in the courts to listen to charges against them, with Catalan police confirming that all those suspected of involvement in last week’s attacks have either been killed or detained.

The four men were moved under high security from Barcelona to the Spanish capital for Tuesday’s hearing.
The majority of the accused are believed to have been residents of the Catalan town of Ripoll, where they had been plotting the attacks for some time.
According to reports in several Spanish media outlets, one of the men admitted to the court that the group had planned a much bigger attack.
Mohamed Chemlal was injured in an explosion the night before the Las Ramblas attack took place, but reportedly told judges that the scale of the attack had to be reduced.
