Dutch gas futures retreat amid indications for Nordstream 1 restart on Saturday
Dutch gas futures retreated further and the euro caught a bid amid data showing that the Nordstream 1 pipeline appeared to set to resume flows on Saturday morning as scheduled.
According to Reuters, which cited data from the gas operator's website, gas nominations were at 14,437,507 kilowatt hours per hour (kwh/h) for the four hours between 0200-0300 CET and 0500-0600 CET of 3 September.
The level of capacity requests was similar to that seen before regular maintenance on the Portovaya compressor station started on 31 August.
Against that backdrop, as of 1317 BST Dutch TTF gas futures were falling further, by 25.5% to €217.5/MWh.
The euro was 0.49% higher alongside to 0.9995 against the US dollar.
