ECB officials reach consensus on tapering bond-buying, report says
Policy-makers at the European Central Bank had reached an informal consensus that their bond purchase programme would need to be tapered, according to Bloomberg.
The report, which cited officials who asked not to be cited because their internal talks were confidential, sent the yield on the benchmark 10-year US Treasury note sharply higher, up by six basis points to 1.69%, and weighed on stocks on Wall Street.
