Eurozone construction output declines in August
Construction output in the Eurozone suffered a sharp slowdown in August, figures released on Monday showed.
According to data published by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office, seasonally-adjusted construction output in the 19-country bloc declined 0.2% month-on-month in August from an upwardly revised 0.4% gain in July.
On a year-on-year basis, construction output slumped 6% compared with an upwardly revised 0.3% decline in the previous month.
