German unemployment hits record low in November
German unemployment declined more than expected in November, figures released on Tuesday showed.
According to the Federal Labour Agency, the number of unemployed people in the Eurozone’s largest economy declined by 13,000 to 2.77m this month, compared with analysts’ expectations for a 5,000 drop.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate fell from 6.4% to 6.3% in November, the lowest level since German reunification, beating analysts’ expectations for an unchanged reading.
