Italian retail sales rise in June
Italian retail sales volumes grew by 0.8% month-on-month in June, according to ISTAT, and by 1.3% versus the same month one year ago.
In seasonally adjusted terms, the volume of food sales was 1.3% higher and that of non-food sales by 0.6%.
Versus a year ago on the other hand, non-food sales were strongest, rising by 1.6%, while non-food sales were ahead by 0.7%.
Measured in value terms, retail sales were 0.6% higher on the month and up by 1.5% over the past year.
