Metrojet flight 9268 was brought down by a bomb, investigators believe - BBC
British investigators, looking into the cause of the crash of Russian airline Metrojet´s flight 9268 over the Egyptian Sinai peninsula on 31 October, believe a bomb was placed in the hold before take-off, the BBC reports.
BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner said British officials did not rule out the possibility that a technical fault brought the aircraft down, but they think that is increasingly unlikely.
Security service investigators suspected that someone with access to the airplane's baggage compartment put an explosive device onboard.
