Spanish industrial prices rise in March
Spanish industrial prices rose in March as energy prices pushed higher, but upwards pressures were muted in the rest of sectors.
An index of producer prices jumped by 0.7% month-on-month in March, according to the country's statistics office, INE.
Energy prices bounded higher by 3.2% in comparison to February's level, but those for consumer and capital goods edged lower by one tenth of a percentage point while inflation at the intermediate goods level was flat.
In comparison to a year-ago, industrial prices pared their decline to from -5.7% to -5.4%.
Energy prices were boosted from -19.7% to -17.7% by increased prices for refined petroleum products.
Howwever, prices of intermediate groups fell at a quicker year-on-year rate of change of -2.7% versus -2.2% in February.
Non-durable consumer goods prices edged lower by 0.1%.
