Spanish industrial production dips in December
Spanish industrial production fell by 0.2% month-on-month in December, according to the country´s statistics office, INE.
That followed month-on-month increases of 0.2% in October and 0.1% in November.
In comparison with the year-ago period, output grew by 3.7% year-on-year, down from the 4.4% increase observed in prior month.
The output of durable consumer goods was weakest in December, dropping by 1.9% month-on-month, followed by a decline of 1.2% in energy production.
Production of intermediate goods on the other hand increased by 1.2% over the month and that of capital goods by another 0.1%.
