US durable goods orders unchanged in November
US durable goods orders were unchanged in November, according to the Commerce Department on Wednesday.
Analysts had been expecting a 0.6% drop in orders last month compared to October's 2.9% increase. An increase in large orders from the Pentagon kept orders from falling.
In the industrial sector, robust demand for new cars and trucks was offset by a decline in orders for commercial jets.
Orders for core capital-goods, which exclude aircraft and defence, fell 0.4% in November after two straight gains.
