US pre-open: Futures trade higher ahead of Q3 earnings
Wall Street futures were in the green ahead of the bell on Tuesday as earnings season gets set to go into full swing.
As of 1200 BST, Dow Jones futures were up 1.26%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures had the indices opening 1.54% and 1.71% higher, respectively.
The Dow closed 550.99 points higher on Monday, reclaiming some of the previous session's heavy losses as market participants digested more Q3 earnings reports from major banks.
Tuesday's primary focus will again be on earnings, with United Airlines, Lockheed Martin, Goldman Sachs, Hasbro, Netflix and Johnson & Johnson all set to report.
Also drawing an amount of investor attention was another pivot from the UK, with Jeremy Hunt, Britain's newest finance minister, announcing that he will reverse almost all of the Truss administration's previously announced tax cuts and walk back an energy subsidy.
On the macro front, September industrial production figures will be published at 1415 BST, while the National Association of Housebuilders' October market index will follow at 1500 BST.
