Brexit vote casts cloud over consumers' outlook
British consumers' take on the economy took a turn for the worse after the referendum vote, the results of a survey showed.
A third of the 1,199 people canvassed by TNS said the economy was worse than a year ago, up from the 11% who gave that same answer to the pollster back in April, Reuters reported.
"The latest data-set suggests that confidence in the economy is back down at levels last seen in 2011/12, when the country last flirted with recession," Luke Taylor, head of social and political attitudes at TNS said.
