Network Rail has tabled a revised offer to try and unblock a pay deal with unions and put an end to seven months of strikes.

On top of the 9% pay rise over two years, already rejected by the RMT trade union, the operator was now offering improved annual leave allowances, the Financial Times reported.
“No decision has been made on the proposals nor any of the elements within them. We will now consult members through branch and regional meetings," RMT reportedly responded.
On Wednesday, 12,500 train drivers belonging to the Aslef union were to join teachers and civil servants in the biggest industrial action since 2011.
The result was expected to be a two-thirds reduction in rail services.
