Around 300 flights have now been cancelled by BA, which is owned by UK and Spain-listed International Consolidated Airlines Group.
Dozens of other flights were delayed on Tuesday, as BA said it would be operating three-quarters of its normal service.
As many as 50,000 passengers could be affected by the cancellations and delays, as BA apologised for the disruption to travel plans.
“We are very sorry that customers continue to suffer from the disruption to flights at Heathrow caused by the severe weather conditions that have affected airports across northern Europe,” the statement said.
“Time spent on de-icing aircraft to ensure safe operation plus air traffic control restrictions and the repositioning of aircraft and crews from yesterday have led to further cancellations and delays today.”
Disgruntled passengers took to Twitter to vent their anger at the cancellations.
I am stranded in Bilbao and want to get home. My Sunday flight BA469 was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday which was also cancelled. You do not answer the phone and your website is malfunctioning. This is a disgrace.

BA please help me get back to Heathrow!
@British_Airways my wife and I were due to fly to Heathrow from Reykjavík on Sunday but we’re still here and still nobody has contacted me from BA to let me know when you’re getting us home! Nobody answers any of your phone lines either! What’s going on?! #TerribleCustomerService
