ConvaTec buys Dutch surgical appliance manufacturer for €25m
Medical products company ConvaTec has bought Dutch ostomy appliances manufacturer EuroTec Beheer for €25m in order to strengthen its position in the France and Benelux markets.
The acquisition of EuroTec, which manufactures and distributes one and two-piece ostomy systems in the Netherlands and Belgium and through distributor partners in other markets, also includes its production facilities in Rosendaal.
Paul Moraviec, chief executive of the newly promoted FTSE 100 company, said that the addition of EuroTec “significantly strengthens” the company's ostomy care business in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and is an “important pillar in the growth strategy for our ostomy care franchise”.
He added: "ConvaTec and EuroTec share a common commitment to improving the lives of people with stomas and a dedication to providing quality products, excellent service and personal support."
