EE customers angry as roaming and data issue leaves many disconnected
Widespread problems have prevented use of mobile phones abroad in Europe

Mobile phone company EE are facing huge numbers of customer complaints after interruption to its roaming and data services left many abroad disconnected.
Customers on holiday in foreign countries reported to the network that they were unable to make calls or send messages due to the outages.
The company has thus far made little comment on the disturbances, whereas dozens of unhappy customers expressed their annoyance at the disruption.

A spokesperson for the company told The Independent that “We're aware that some EE customers travelling abroad in certain countries are experiencing issues affecting their voice and data roaming services."
"We apologise to any customers affected, and we are continuing to urgently work with a number of our roaming network partners to resolve the problem as soon as possible."
