Energean overcomes court challenge to Karish-Tanin gas pipeline

The FTSE 250 newcomer said the court, sitting as the high court of justice, was unanimous in dismissing the petition brought by two environmental groups in September 2017. It said the proceedings were the sold outstanding court matter against Energean in Israel.

“Energean is planning to deliver gas to the Israeli market from the Karish-Tanin development in 2021, and is on track with its project milestones to achieve this timeline,” the company said.

Israel’s petroleum commissioner approved the development in August 2017. After securing finance and equity funding for the project, Energean made a final decision to proceed in March 2018.
