At a hearing at Southwark Crown Court in London, the Glencore subsidiary admitted to paying more than $28m (£23m) in bribes for preferential access to oil, including increased cargoes, valuable grades of oil and preferable dates of delivery.
The Serious Fraud Office, which carried out the investigation into Glencore Energy, said the company will be sentenced on 2 and 3 November.
