It ends his 16-year stint on the board of the FTSE 100 company.
Harf said it has been a pleasure to work with the company and is confident it will continue to succeed on.
“It is a phenomenal company and JAB intends to keep the large majority of its stake in RB as a long-term strategic investment.”
Chairman Adrian Bellamy said Harf has been a highly valued member of the board since the merger of Reckitt & Colman and Benckiser, as well as Chairman of Benckiser before the merger.
“We will miss his wisdom and experience but wish him well as he spends more time with JAB.
“I would also personally like to thank Peter for all of his hard work in helping RB become the successful global organisation that it is today.”
