HMV planning international online expansion
The chairman of music retailer HMV has revealed the company is planning its international online expansion following its recent e-commerce success in Ireland and the UK.
Paul McGowen said that the chain has been holding discussions over plans to expand into 10 other countries, most of which would be in Europe.
McGowen, who was speaking to the Telegraph, also said he expected the first shop to open in Dubai in summer of next year, following a five-year licencing deal for expansion into the Middle East.
The plans come just two years after the group fell into administration and was rescued by McGowan's company Hilco.
