Advisers have already been briefed about the sale, City sources told the Sunday Times.
Discussions are said to be at an early stage.
The disposal of the brands, which are currently owned by SAB Miller, would raise billions of pounds, according to insiders.
The sale would help enable AB InBev to keep its own major brands, such as Budweiser and Leffe.
It comes after AB InBev agreed to sell its 58% holding in Miller Coors, enabling it to avoid American regulators.
