A day earlier, the government of Kyrgyzstan suspended operations at Bozymchak for what it said would be a period of three months.
The FTSE 250-listed miner said it believed Bozymchak was in compliance with its obligations and management had begun discussions with local authorities to try and overturn the decision.
In the last calendar year, Bozymchak produced 7 kilitonnes of copper cathode and 38k oz of gold bar.
The group reiterated its 2017 copper production guidance of 250-270 kt.
